Frequently asked questions
What is Papershot?
Papershot is a private, shared film roll for a single moment. Everyone with the link adds photos to the same album. When the film closes, the photos develop together: one album, many cameras.
Does it work on Android?
The capture app is iOS first. Friends on Android can still join, shoot, and view the developed album through the web, no install required.
How do I start a film?
Open the app, tap New film, name it, choose how long it stays open, and pick a look. Share the link or QR with the people you want in it.
Can friends join without an account?
Yes. The first tap opens the camera. Guests pick a name to sign the photos with, no email, no password, no install.
Who can see the photos I upload?
Only the people in that film. Papershot is private by default. Photos never appear in a public feed and are never used to train anything.
When does the film develop?
When the host sets it to. Most films develop a few hours after they close, so the album lands the morning after.
Can I download my photos?
Once the film develops, every photo can be saved at full resolution, yours and the ones taken of you.
What kinds of moments work best?
Weddings, parties, trips, holidays, a long Sunday. Anything where the best photos are the ones you were not holding the camera for.
